The story:

The Ju/’hoansi Ladies Catering Group (JLCG) was established in 2022.

Eight women from Tsumkwe completed two years of business training at the Chief Bobo Training Center and subsequently decided to form their own catering enterprise.

Since then, they have successfully catered major events, such as the students hostel inauguration in nearby Aasvoelness and the village school inauguration in Den/ui, a tiny village west of Tsumkwe. In those cases, the JLCG served approximately 400 meals and independently managed the entire operation—from estimating food quantities to creating and monitoring the event budget.

The long-term goal is for the JLCG to continue providing catering services throughout the Tsumkwe area for events of various sizes.

The JLCG has now been formally registered as a business with BIPA in Windhoek, marking an important milestone in their growth and professionalism.
